'Rose'-The Feeling

You and your friends
Boxes of ten
Cool to the touch
You warn me so much
The white to your left
The red to your right
Are all that I’d seen
Til I realised the love that I seek
Lies right in-between

Rose
I love ya
Especially today
Rose
I love your delicate way

The chill in my veins
Relieves me from pain
Again and again
I lose all control
You're taking your toll
And i'm no longer sane
Dont be afraid
The love that I show is the love that you made
So dont be afraid
'Cos you're in control
I'm just your slave

Rose,
I love ya,
Especially today,
Rose,
I love your delicate way.

Dont let him put you down
I won't let him put you down
'Cos your as good as the rest
And you're much better dressed
I think pink is my colour
I wont drink from no other
Never!

Oh I love ya
Especially today
Especially this way
Oh Rose
I want ya
Believe me this way
Rose
I love your delicate way.

'Rose'-The Feeling

Fancy that it is a song about rose wine, between red and white. Simply brilliant! Beautifully written. Just love his vocals.

What is life?

This question came about in the midst of normal conversations over tea sessions. It is strange that I suddenly realised that people I hang around with these days talk about finding meaning in life, fighting inner demons and redefining their place on Earth. I guess that is a sign that I am growing older. What exactly is life? I guess it is not like the way we learn in Science class when we were in school that the definition of life is that a living thing is something that takes in energy, get rid of waste, respond to their environment, etc.

Biology aside, we want to know more than the fundamentals; beyond the definition and reading into the meaning of it. Most often than not, most of us question about our purpose, which in turn, looks into our past, present and future. But people around me agree that we should live for the present, like NOW. For me, the meaning of life is to be truly happy.

My question lies with our reaction towards people who are happy with life; contented, never questioning, they get by a day at a time. Do we ask ourselves if these people are kidding themselves or are they just refusing to see the cold hard reality of life and pretending to live in this whole make-believe fantasy "happy land" of their own?

I, somehow, figured happiness doesn't depend on anything that has or has not happened in the past nor does it depend on what might happen in the future. It is me deciding to be happy at this very moment, which leads us back to NOW.

After going through a few difficult times of my time, I realised the whole idea of "life is fair" is just a bloody illusion. Life is truly unfair but it is definitely not random. Bad things usually happen to forcefully slap us out of whatever stupor we are in at the time and we start questioning our beliefs. People usually don't change unless they feel sufficient pain to overcome their natural resistance to change. Change takes energy and nothing energizes like tragedy.

Life is a school. As we learn to improve or even learn to live life, the mistakes we make do not make permanent records. They only teaches us to improve. SO don't be too hard on yourselves.

Love is...

Love is
being happy for the other person when they are happy
being sad for the person when they are sad
being together in good times
and being together in bad times

Love is
being honest with yourself
being honest with the other person
telling, listening, respecting the truth
and never pretending

Love is
the fury of the storm
the calm in the rainbow

Love is
knowing that the other person
will always be with you regardless of what happens
missing the other person when they are away
but remaining near in heart at all times

Bell & Ross

This square-faced chronograph watch with black carbon finish from Bell & Ross simply kick-ass. I love it. I love it!

Let's longboard!!

My longboard has new trucks! Tried them last week when all of us went longboarding at East Coast Park. A new member to the group, Jeff, will be joining us on our next longboarding session. His board just arrived today. Can't wait to see his board.

I started surfing and longboarding in a goofy stance but now I'm more comfortable in a regular stance. Last week was the first time I tried riding in a regular stance. And... I fell. Heh. Bruised my both knees and tore a part of the skin on my knees. It is healing and my knees look horrible. Sigh.. but I can't wait to go longboarding again.

I dream of wide open spaces

Last night was the first night in two weeks that I did not cough in my sleep. I have been down with a terrible flu for the past week, which started after the day I went longboarding at East Coast Park. I dreamt of wide open spaces last night. I love wide open spaces. I get restless if I get confined to a small space for too long.I get restless if I am in a situation which has no visual or mental stimulus.

I had this problem since I was a child. In the modern times, this might be a condition called ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The main characteristics of ADHD are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. When I was in school, teachers would just classify my condition as a discipline problem. I am in much control of myself now or am I just jaded with the lack of sensory stimuli in my environment that I give up seeking.

So come forward. Awe me. Inspire me. Enthuse me. Fascinate me. Excite me.
