Singfest 2007 @ Fort Canning, 09 August 007

As I went on stage to set up my keyboards, I saw the Roland AX-7 keytar belonging to Victoria Asher of Cobra Starship. I just had to take a picture of it. The last time I was in the States, I went around looking for a keytar but I found none. And yesterday, there it was! Pearl white! It was love at first sight! It was a pity we couldn't stay for their set cos I really wanted to listen to the sound of it

GSE played at Singfest 2007 yesterday. It was awesome. Expecting only 20 people coming to watch us, the opening act for the event at 2.30pm, the turnout was just crazy. We arrived at Fort Canning and there were crowds of people standing at the gate. We were basically lost for words. Hmmm... So much for expecting to play to 20 people. Heh.

It was the first time we were given a personal resting tent, which comes with coffee machines, cooler boxes filled with soda and loads of mineral water, not forgetting the insane spread of cookies, crackers, fruits and CHOCOLATES!! The tent was air-conditioned. OMG! It was just crazy. They even prepared towels and there was a catering tent, where lunch was served. A yummy spread of food. I was extremely glad, expecially when I rushed down to Fort Canning with an empty stomach. I had yummy roast beef, yummy salmon and yummy baked potatoes. =) We had a shy and adorable fan who came up to us for an autograph during lunch.

Im happy that our set went well, with people dancing and singing to our songs. The boys threw bottles of mineral water to the crowd as the sun was shining furiously. What was funny was Fandy's lame throw of his drum sticks to the crowd. It fell short and landed at the security guy's feet and camera crew. Hahaha.. All of us had fun! I took a couple of pictures with some fans. It was amazing! Thank you everyone for making the day an unforgettable one for GSE!
