More vodka and more aspirins please...

If life's all about a couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins, I would be dead and pissed drunk by now.. People always assume that the place they are at will never be as good as where they aren't..
Utopia came alive months back. Every senses were heightened and the gloomy days seems to brighten up.. Butterflies were free to roam and exploration was its best. Music seems to sound melodious instead of melancholic .. Aroma reigns while the stale stench of stagnant, suffocating air clears from the soul it claims..
There are people who spend their lives looking for their "utopia" while I found THE REASON to write about my belief in utopia. The reason was simple at the very start but it started getting complicated, like many things in our lives..
A couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins.
Days passed with emotional baggages, mine and others, at the back of my head.. Sharing THE REASON with another person is a hefty sum to pay.. The paranoia.. the pain.. the uncertainty.. the insecurity.. Crushing my dreams to redeem and to leap from my soul, killing the freedom to believe..
A couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins.
Seeing THE REASON with the other person and been told that THE REASON gave up the perfect plan for me.. My world swirled. I wish it was simple. I took too much aspirins and the dreadful sight of my butterflies lying on the ground, grasping for air.. A nightmare..
A couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins.
The union of THE REASON and me created "the concept". I wish it stayed but self-struggle brought about its death.. comforting myself that "the concept" might come again to us, at a time, when it will be welcomed with joy and open arms..
A couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins.
No closure to begin.. The painful truth.. To accept or to leave and wait for the day to come.. A painful decision.. Obligations..
A couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins.
The demons have instigated and started a violent war.. The hairline cracks and the war-torn injuries behold the truth.. The pain persist. I have lost myself, yet again..
A couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins.
Protecting THE REASON with rose-tinted glasses to view the world and the situations was the silliest idea ever.. THE REASON stomped on the rose-tinted glasses.. It's the glare of the cold hard truth that THE REASON seeks but not ones that come with rose-tinted glasses.. Been told i'm a selfish, self-centred, lying bitch and looking at the broken rose-tinted glasses.. I wonder why is protecting the interest of the person you care most, ever so wrong..
A couple of vodka and a couple of aspirins.
Broken dreams.. dead butterflies.. Fading utopia.. I wish it was simple but we gave up easily..
More vodka and more asprins.. Please.............

death of cinema @ bar none

death of cinema (16-5-04) Posted by Hello

The death of cinema played their third gig at bar none, organised by Aging Youth Productions. This time, on a better and larger stage.. The lighting at the set do make them look like rock stars or should i say, amplify the fact that the band is gaining recognition. They are the second band to play for the night, together with 2 other bands, "Phorous" and "I am David Sparkle", which entertain the crowd with their mogwai-ish and godspeed-ish set of songs. Other bands, like observatory and documentary in amber came to give these 3 performing bands their support.
As always, no matter how seasoned bands are at performing at gigs, there will be that inevitable tension and anxiety before the actual set. The death of cinema AGAIN delivered an excellent set ending it with their latest song edition, "Untitled", with Ess on vocals. It's the first time they have added vocals into their sets. I must say Ess did an excellent job singing though the voice was pitchy at some parts of the song due to nervousness..
It was clearly seen that The death of cinema is gaining audience recognition from their first RNDM to the set played last night. The crowd were more responsive to their music and many applause of approvals were given. With so much talent to tap from the individual members of band, The death of cinema is the band to look out for..

Tate Modern

lee krasner's work at tate modern Posted by Hello

Visited tate modern, the national museum that houses international modern art. London has two tate galleries and the other is Tate Britain, which houses British art from the past to the present day. The permanent fixtures of work includes major artits like Dali, Picasso, Matisse, Warhol, Pollock as well as contemporary artists like Damian Hirst. There are seasonal exhibits and some of the coming ones include work of Frida Kahlo and Degas.
I dropped off at Blackfriars tube station and took a walk to Tate Modern via the millennium bridge. The place has 7 floors and is sectioned according to the different genre of art; still life/landscape/object/nude/matter.. There are two major stores that sells a wide selection of artbooks for all ages. You name it, they have it.. The experience was unbelievable.. seeing the actual works of the artists we can only read and study about, right infront of my face. The texture.. the stroke.. The most overwhelming one was entering the room, which houses both Pollock and Lee Krasner's work.. Though photography was not allowed, I sneaked a shot of one of Lee's work. Seeing Pollock's drip painting, one can feel the intensity and movement of his strokes.. The paintings were filled with such energy. Such intensity and appreciation beat seeing the works on paper or books.. The other ones will have to be Claude Monet's paintings of water lilies, Matisse's collage, Picasso's nude painitngs and Piet Mondrian's distinctive works..

london movement series 3 Posted by Hello

london movement series 2 Posted by Hello

My day started on a bad footing when I got down to Damian's shop. He was super grouchy due to some cashflow problems with his shipments. Emily kept quiet and shrugged her shoulders when I asked. He snapped at me when I least expected or needed it.. actually, I don't even think I deserved it, after spending the morning cleaning up his apartment. Fiesty ME just had to snap back.. Lincoln came along and joined all three of us for lunch at Soho. Lincoln felt the tension and tried to lighten up the mood. Luckily, Sweetie called me and saved me from the agony of putting up with Damian's grouchy face.. I just said "Long distance Call!!!" and walked away from the table.. Sweetie said posting is out today but I am not too excited about it.. Whatever, innit? Fate's already sealed.. Can't do much about it anyway..

wicked "funky pie" Posted by Hello

Went to one of Damian's mate, KY's restaurant, to have dinner. I finally got to eat the funky pie, everyone's raving about. It's absolutely delightful and awesome. It has digestive biscuit crust, with vanilla ice cream on the inside and caramel and nuts on the top.. Superb desert. Never had anything this wicked before.. They really should sell this back home cos it will be a sell-out for sure..
