Snow patrol you are all i have

Song from their latest album, 'Eyes Open'. The other song to look out for in the album will have to be 'Hands Open'. I love this band but many will differ. Love the sexy voice of Gary Lightbody. It will be wicked if GSE could cover this song some day.

Holidays has ended

It has been a busy holiday.

The first week, I had my last chemo. Yes, I finally completed my 4 cycles of chemotherapy. The last treatment, in fact, was the worst. Hafidz and Sweetie were there with me. I puked at the third hour into my treatment; all over the hospital bed in the ward. I am actually still very traumatised by what happened till this very day. Went for my re-staging scan, met up with my radiologist to discuss my radiotherapy treatment, which is going to be a daily affair for a month. Attended Teachers' Conference at Suntec Convention Hall.

The second week, I went down to Dunman Secondary to attend their graffiti workshop, conducted by ZERO. It was an enriching experience. The control of spray cans and graffiti terminology. My tagline: Knowledge is Power and Education is free. It is just so true.

The third week was the revamping of Sweetie's room. It took us one entire week. Clearing his junk. Packing. Painting. Purchasing of furniture. Arranging. Cleaning. We are pleased with our project. All for a good night sleep for him. It's all worth it.

The fourth week was rushing from hospitals to hospitals. Celebrated two birthdays at Straits Kitchen at Hyatt. Excellent service. Amazing spread of food. Lovely company. And of course, the most amazing dinner on the last day of the holidays. Thank you Sweetie. I love your cooking. Yummy steak with lots of greens.

It has been quite a month of holidays. Now its back to school, treatment, jamming and gigs. Will post up the pics I took soon..

Went to Yamaha the other day. Wanted to get myself a pianica but they were only left with a few of the 25 keys (yellow) and only the display set for the 37 keys (maroon) ones. Sigh...
Today is Day 2 of clearing up junks @ Punggol. More "interesting" finds. Watched the Mexico-Iran match: 3-1. I slept halfway through the match. I think it was 70 minutes into the game. It is 3.26am right now. I am supposed to sleep early but here I am, awake and blogging away, to the music of Ladytron. Oh well....

*
My attempt to sleep before midnight, for my own health reasons, failed again. I slept at 6am this morning.
*
Sweetie had that sudden impulse to clean up his room in the middle of the night so I spent the night clearing out junks and wiping storage boxes. There were interesting finds in those boxes as well as things which made me wonder about their significance. Whatever they were, I cleaned them and put them back into their original boxes.
*
I slept for a pathetic stretch of 4 hours. I am one of those who wakes up at the same time everyday, no matter what time I get into bed. It just sucks...

World Cup Opening Match

Last night, there was a world cup opening match gathering at my place. I prepared a huge serving of Cold Soba Noodle Salad, which serves up to 6-7 people. The turnout was better than I expected. I had to go for my tuition class so Khai had to play host when I was away. By the time I got back from class, Mike, Leigh and Hafidz have already arrived. Mike and Leigh brought 2 roasted spring chicken and gelare, which amount to an insane amount of $60 for 2 tubs. Bert and Laurent arrived shortly, followed by James. By the time James arrived, there is not much left of the salad and chicken. I am really glad that everyone loves the salad. The rest, Herman, Grace, Khalid, Dora and David, started streaming into the house at their own time. Still trying to recover from my post-chemo side effects, I struggled to mingle despite my bodyaches. It is always fun, having people around.

I slept at about 4am, having to leave the rest to continue what they were doing. My body wasn't feeling too good and I was really trying to get back in the normal sleeping hours. I can feel that my face is swollen. It hurts so bad that I can't even open my mouth or roll my tongue, without sending a surge of pain to my head. My body is definitely aching, all along my spinal cord. My tastebuds are still missing due to the chemo drugs. My veins on my right arm has this irritating pulsating pain. I am still recovering from the trauma of the vomiting episode at my last chemo...

Nord Electro 2

Yes... I have my eyes on this Clavia's Nord Electro 2. =)
This red hot baby has Rhodes, Clavinet and Hammond B-3 sounds in it with built-in effects such as Wah, Phaser and Ring Modulation.

Uploading old pics from my Nikon (Part 2)

The GSE Family had our dinner and band meeting, with Jeff Chow, our band photographer, Daryl, our band T-shirt designer and Dino, our website designer. Jeff took some really good studio and gig shots, which has been used as our official band photos for newspaper interviews and publicity shots for gigs. Daryl designed our 1st band T-shirt design. The first batch has all been sold. The second batch, which comes in black, will be released at our BayBeats gig on 14th July 2006. Lastly, Dino, the guy that has yet to come up with our website design. We are still waiting.. very patiently..

Finally.. Uploading old pics from my Nikon (Part 1)

Long overdue. Pictures from my Nikon camera. Mike, Khai and I went longboarding in town on Election Day.

middle road

We sat by the road after having our energy drained at our gashaus gig.
